Arkk Solutions use breakfast event series to position themselves as a thought leader

Arkk Solutions is changing the face of financial reporting. With more than 10 years’ experience in the regulatory and compliance industry, Arkk Solutions helps firms transform the way they approach indirect tax. They came to 1331 needing help to organise a series of breakfast events to attract a targeted audience for discussions around the niche subject of tax transformation.

The series of events were to form the cornerstone of Arkk’s marketing activity in Q2 and Q3.

Arkk wanted advice on how to approach developing an overall event strategy as well as insight on how to navigate planning the events. Due to the niche subject matter and the buy-in already secured from key Arkk stakeholders, actions around designing invitations, agendas, sourcing potential speakers, and reaching out to delegates needed to commence quickly so the first event in London could be delivered in Q2.

Deliverables

Their clients were predominantly in the financial sector, so a number of boutique hotel options in the city of London were suggested as potential venues for hosting the breakfast. 1331 offered their delegate recruitment service to Arkk to support driving event registrations, but Arkk relied on their own sales force as they had existing client relationships they could leverage.

Instead, once a client had registered to attend, 1331 then took over delegate management, pushing out diary entries initially followed by regular communications with content to keep them engaged in the lead-up to the event and thus minimise cancellations.  1331 also took care of printed collateral, and recommended hiring in a copywriter to produce a summary of the discussions at the event which could then serve as marketing collateral for future events.

Results

The multiple touchpoint delegate management process ensured that Arkk had minimal drop-outs on the day of the event resulting in an 88% attendance rate. The client was exceptionally happy with the way the discussions evolved on the day, and was excited by the opportunities the event could generate in terms of opening doors to new business for them and driving their business growth.
